How Kia VSC pricing works
Important: we could not verify a Kia-backed factory extended warranty comparable to Toyota's or Honda's. The plans owners discuss are dealer-sold service contracts administered by JM&A/Fidelity ("Kia Distinction"), CNA National, or PowerProtect (Telluride Forums).
Compare quotes by administrator, term and deductible. One owner reports trouble getting a PowerProtect plan honored at a different Kia dealer, so ask where your plan will be honored.
Is it the same plan if I buy from another dealer? NOT verified. Don't assume a plan bought from one Kia dealer is honored the same way at every other Kia dealer.
In general, the manufacturer sets a cost for each plan, and the dealer selling it decides how much to add on top. That's why the same contract can be priced very differently by two dealers. Before you sign anything, check the plan name, term, deductible, start date/mileage, and cancellation terms in writing.
